In a hospital ward, a wife and a mother sit side by side, watching over the Israeli patient — covered by bandages, without any identifying features.
A string of visitors passes through: a strange doctor, a beloved singer, a military officer, a grieving father — each with something urgent to say, each leaving more questions than answers. Meanwhile, a mysterious orderly lurks in the shadows, convinced he knows the truth about the patient's identity, but no one is ready to hear it.
As alliances form and fracture, the line between care and obsession, between healing and holding on, grows dangerously thin.
With sharp dark humor and a cast of characters who are by turns heartbreaking and absurd, the play pulls the rug out from under everything you think you understand — again and again.
